Olivia fell in love with the Northwoods during a seven day wilderness canoe trip with the Girl Scout’s Northern Lakes Canoe Base (NLCB) when she was 14. Since then, Olivia has spent nearly six years canoeing a total of 1000 miles throughout the Boundary Waters and Quetico, as well as the Green, Colorado, and New Rivers. After graduating high school, Olivia went on a 55 day Gap Semester program with Outward Bound, where she backpacked, canoeed, rafted, and canyoneered throughout Utah in mostly sub-freezing temperatures, sleeping under a tarp and not showering for 48 days. She has since completed two guiding seasons in the Boundary Waters- one with the NLCB and the other with Northern Tier. Olivia is a Sophomore student at Virginia Tech studying Wildlife Conservation and Biology. She works with her school's outdoor program, Venture Out, is a Wilderness First Responder, and is a trail Ultramarathoner.

Emma likes to say their were born with a paddle in their hand. As soon as they could sit up in a canoe, they have been canoeing and camping with their family in the various lakes and rivers of Maine. For the past two summers, Emma has worked for Northern Tier in many capacities. They guided BWCA and Quetico trips, worked with the forest service on portage trail conservation projects, and were part of the training staff. Outside of canoeing they have worked as a welder and fabricator in southern Maine. They are graduating from Clark University in Worcester Massachusetts in May 2024 with a major in Studio Art.
@abbycichocki
Abby learned to canoe through various summer camps, but was truly bit by the paddling bug in 2022 when she went on a five day canoe trip in the BWCA with her girl scout troop. Abby has since completed two seasons as a professional canoe guide for both the girl scout and boy scout canoe bases and led canoe trips for the UW-Madison Hoofers outing club. She has canoed over 1000 backcountry miles on both lakes and rivers. This past summer Abby worked as a wilderness EMT in the Boundary Waters and currently works as an urban EMT at a Fire Department near her school. Outside of camping, Abby competes in gymnastics and springboard diving. She is currently a Junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison studying neurobiology and athletic healthcare.

As a lifelong Girl Scout, Helena has always felt a special connection to the outdoors. She is majoring in environmental studies at Ohio University with certificates in Appalachian studies among others. She plans to graduate in spring 2025 after completing her undergraduate thesis on food security in Appalachia. Helena continues her passion for the outdoors in college and found herself as a leader when she got a job at @ou outdoorpursuits. She has since spent over 100 days in the backcountry leading backpacking, climbing, and canoeing trips. This, along with her status as a Wilderness First Responder and passion for educating, led to her promotion to the programs trip supervisor. She has led multiple expeditions in the Boundary Waters paying close attention to the environment and the wild life. Both of which inspire her work with pottery. Helena enjoys spending time in the backcountry backpacking, climbing, canoeing, fly fishing, and trail running.
